Research Facilitator - Natural Sciences, Engineering and Health
Persuasive and deadline driven, you will use your advanced training and experience in research administration, fundraising, and/or proposal development to facilitate research application success rates in the natural sciences, engineering, biomedical, and clinical/health research areas at the University. Skillful in providing leadership and advice to researchers while working within a team environment, you will: support the formation of interdisciplinary teams; seek appropriate funding opportunities; facilitate the development of collaborative research proposals (by contributing background research, writing, copy editing and liaising with funding partners), convey the University’s research strengths to various stakeholders and lead workshops.
Your Masters degree in the natural sciences, engineering or a related health discipline (PhD would be an asset) is complemented by five years’ related experience working in research administration or fundraising. Your interpersonal, writing and communication skills allow you to develop and convey the University’s research expertise to funding agencies confidently. Knowledge of project management principles, research policies and external funding agency guidelines (i.e. NSERC, CIHR, Canadian Foundation for Innovation) is a definite asset.
